reacTable + live version

REACTABLE from Video Broadcasting Catalonia on Vimeo.

The Reactable is essentially a music synthesizer. The difference between the reactable and a typical synthesizer, however, is that participants manipulate sound with blocks on a round table. By rotating or moving the blocks on the table, a person (or several people) can tweak a variety of sounds, beats and notes, creating an electronic soundscape.

When we saw reacTable for first time 3 years ago as a part of mutlimedia festival ‘Optronica’ we felt very excited about this new instrument/ gadget. ReacTable team present new version ‘live’ which is more portable and has get new enhanced features. More info via reactable.com.

On this note I must attach live performance Björk’s ‘Declare Independance’ with the reacTable in Jools Holland (BBC) show and also mention her genuine likeness of reacTable which she incorporated on her last 18-months world tour Volta, where Damian Taylor played the Reactable at the big stage during about 80 concerts.

Or the use of reacTable by their creators Sergi Jordà, Günter Geiger, Marcos Alonso & Martin Kaltenbrunner.
