The second artist to move into the Munken Works Space is Sandra Kühne from Switzerland.
During her four-week stay in Berlin (3.8.2013 —29.8.2013), she worked on a growing papercut installation that combines different visualizations of her surrounding area. She worked with several kinds of maps: self drawn maps of the area, pictures that she took in her neighbourhood, maps she finds on the Internet.
My main material will be paper and a scalpel. Every day she would chart, draw, photograph and google her sourrounding. She would cut one piece of the installation per day and put it into the working space. The more papercuts, the less orientation.
