In the 1960s, Letraset first introduced its Dry Transfer Lettering System. Early designers called the process a ‘revolution in the studio’ – for the first time professional looking lettering could be produced quickly and easily by anyone. The Dry Transfer Lettering system was a huge success and Letraset became a household name! The mid 1980s saw computerisation make its huge impact on the design world and Letraset has been innovating ever since. While Letraset’s main business is now selling high grade art markers, they still manufacture and supply dry transfers.
