MeWe, next-gen social network

For those considering quitting the social network but can’t bear to lose their connections, there’s now an alternative you can use to keep in touch with friends and loved ones without the burden of feeling like your privacy has been violated.

New social network ‘MeWe’, which describes itself as a “no BS,” “Anti-Facebook,” is an ad-free service that entails the industry’s first-ever Privacy Bill of Rights ensuring users full control over their data and privacy.

It was designed with input from Sir Tim Berners-Lee, who invented the World Wide Web.

The Privacy Bill of Rights includes promises like giving members full explicit ownership of their personal information and content, as well as the absence of targeted ads. MeWe also reassures that facial recognition is not a thing on the platform, that it won’t manipulate newsfeeds, and that personal information will never be sold to anyone.
